Day 1 : things to do in Petra from Sharm El Sheikh
Early morning our tour Rep will pick up you from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, then direct transfer by modern air conditioned bus to
Nuwibah port to take the Ferry boat and cross Aqaba golf from Egypt to Jordan.
Upon your arrival to Aqaba port, meet out tour Representative who will accompany you to your modern air conditioned bus to transfer you from Aqaba to Petra ( The rose city ), one of the new 7 wonders of the world, Petra is one of the most valuable attractions not only in Jordan but in all Middle East, It is a vast, unique city, half built and half carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataean about 2000 years ago.
Petra entrance is a narrow gorge of more than 1 kilometer length, you wil walk it or using a horse or a camel, The Siq is flanked on the two side by soaring, 80m high cliffs. Just walking through the Siq is an experience in itself. The colours and formations of the rocks are very splendid. when you arrive the end of the Siq you will catch your first glimpse of ( The Treasury) facade, which is thirty meters wide and about eighty meters high, its name in Arabic Al Khazna which means a place to keep the valuable things, they thought it was old tomb for Ancient Egyptian kings, Really no one can say what was this building, but it seems as a very old holy place or an ancient temple
then you will proceed your excursions accompanied by your tour guide to discover Petra , the Roman style theater which seats 3000 persons, the Royal tombs, the streets etc, then enjoy your lunch then go to check in your hotel in Petra.
Early morning breakfast, then proceed your excursions to visit Petra, transfer to Aqab port then the ferry boat from Aqaba port in Jordan to Nuwibah port in Egypt, then direct transfer to Sharm El Sheikh, to your hotel in Sharm.
