If Ancient Egyptian finished it would have measured around 42 m and would have weighed nearly 1,200 tons.

For many centuries, Egyptian people were suffering from either water too much or too little water, Some years there would
be drought, and there was not enough water to grow the crops or to use for their daily life. Other years there
was so much water that the great Nile River would flood, destroying the crops and anything in front of his way. so the Egyptian
needed to find a way to manage the water from the Nile River so that they had just the right amount all the time.The answer to
these problems was the high dam in Aswan which is is one of the largest embankment dams in the world
Aswan High Dam is an engineering miracle constructed the ten years between 1960 and 1970. It aimed to
increase Egypt national economic production by further regulating the annual river Nile flooding and providing storage of water for
agriculture, & later, to generate hydroelectricity.
The dam has had a significant impact on the economy and culture of Egypt.but in the same time it was not positive for the mud
which was rich of all natural elements for the land & it was carried to cover Egypt land with the flood, now no mud come, it was
created a big lake behind the dam ( Nasser lake ) that covered the Nubian lands & temples.
The Egyptian government with the Unesco tried to save a lot of temples such as Abu Simbel temple & Philae temple.
