Alexandria Day Tour
Have your breakfast and drive to Alexandria, first
you will visit Pompay's Pillar this is certainly one of the most famous columns
of Egypt. The Pillar of Pompey and the two other sphinxes around it are the
only remaining items of a large great temple that was called the Serapuem and
was founded in the 3rd century AD. Constructed out of red granite with
the height of 27 meters and a remarkable stone capital, and then drive to visit
catacombs, The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa is perhaps the largest and most
mysterious historical burial sites in Egypt. The catacombs were discovered in
1900 and this ancient necropolis belongs to the 1st and 2ndcenturies AD. The
catacombs represent a wonderful example of the mixture and the blend between
the Pharaonic and Roman types of art and architecture. Then you will have your
lunch in a local restaurant in Alexandria. Proceed to visit Qaitbay Citadel;
The Qaitbey Fort is surly one of the landmarks and most important historical
sites in Alexandria. The Mamluk Sultan Qaitbey built this marvelous military
