Schedule: Saturday from Luxor to Aswan, 4 nights,5 days onboard of Ms Concerto Nile cruise

 

 

  Day 1    - Concerto Nile cruise- Luxor East bank tours 

 World tour advice representative will pick you up at the Luxor train station or Luxor hotels or  airport at your arrival time,  or any other site in Luxor. Then our tour rep will escort  you to MS Concerto cruise ship to enjoy your first meal onboard (Lunch meal)

Having eaten lunch, your expert tour guide will accompany you to see the inveterate city of Luxor, while in the very ancient time when pharaohs ruled Egypt it was called Waset,  while its ancient name during the Greek Roman period was Thebes, Luxor Arabic name is Al Uqsur which means palaces, as Arab who were astonished to see all these ancient numerous temples in the city thought that these buildings are palaces.

Your guide will take you in a tour to explore Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple, the two temples are separated from each other by the Avenue of ram sphinxes (Sphynxes) , this avenue is 3 kilometer long road lined with the aforementioned sphynxes.

Day 2  -      Concerto Nile cruise- Luxor West bank tours

Valley of kings tombs are characteristic  with their colorful wall paintings of religious and other life  scenes.

Proceed tour  to explore  the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the woman who ruled Egypt as a man, and she used men clothes and used false beard, the temple is a funerary temple erected about 3600 years ago; the temple is characteristic with its breathtaking location at the bottom of one of ancient Waset Mountains, its has magnificent terraces, and many amazing scenes such as the journey from Egypt to Punt (Somalia now) to bring the African product to Egypt, these scenes represent the ancient commercial exchange between Egypt and other African places, the temple has many scenes representing Hatshepsut as a son of the god and sucking milk from the cow (goddess Hathor) to represent her divine birth.

The temple was partly damaged by Tutmosis III, Your guide will inform you Hatshepsut and Tutmosis III story and the old conflict between them.

Proceed tour to visit The Colossi of Memnon, the only remaining thing of Amenhotep III  Mortuary Temple. back to cruise to enjoy your lunch, and enjoy the Nile river scenery while the cruise will sail from Luxor to Edfu, dinner on board, Overnight in Concerto Nile Cruise.

 

Day 3: Edfu – Kom Ombo (Concerto Nile Cruise)

Wake up in the early morning to enjoy Egypt sunny days, our  expert Egyptologist  tour guide is ready to tell you more stories about Egypt history and things to see and do, he will take you in a tour to scout Edfu temple, the temple is located almost halfway between Luxor and Aswan. Day 4:Aswan tours

Having  eaten your breakfast onboard, we'll disembark to visit  El Saad El aali (Aswan high dam), which  is the world's largest embankment dam, it was erected in south Egypt between 1960 and 1970., then proceed tour to explore one of the most amazing temples in the world, the Philae Temple, devoted to the Goddess Isis. Philae is an island in the reservoir of the Aswan Low Dam, The original location of Philae was near the expansive First Cataract of the Nile in south Egypt and was the place of an Egyptian temples complexes. this place have been variously downfall since the initial erection of Aswan Low Dam in 1902. When Egypt started the big national project to erect the high dam UNESCO appealed a campaign to salvage all Nubian monuments, Philae temple was one of these temples saved from the flood The temple complex was dismantled and moved to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project., then proceed tour to visit  Hatshepsut unfinished obelisk, back to cruise ship to enjoy your lunch, enjoy cruise ship amenities at night or walking tour in Aswan market or optional tour to Philae sound and light show or to visit the Nubian village.

 

Day 5: End of concerto Nile cruise -Abu Simbel optional tour

Having  eaten your breakfast onboard, then check out,(optional tours to Abu Simbel by flight or by bus are available)
